GOOD NEWS! Loads of venues let you bring your pooch onsite nowadays and frankly, how could you say no to a smile like that anyway.

Whether it's for the family photos, to be the best man, ring bearer, paw prints as signatures or simply another smiley face to walk down the aisle to.

If there's a green light from the venue thats when we work out in some puppy love and the ideas come flooding.

We'll be besties in no time and I've been known to hide a frankfurter in my handbag... but that's a story for another time.

It's my wedding anniversary today, and so ensues the mush. The wedding day really is only the beginning, it's the marriage when it all reaaaally gets going.

I once read (instagrammed) that you love your husband / wife, the LEAST on your wedding day and that your love in marriage should grow from there. And sure enough, today as we exchanged cards we had written...
⭐ "I love you more than ever"
⭐ "It just keeps getting better and better"

Now, it might not be new or trendy or win me any super-edgy-cool kudos... But here's the thing, I'm a wedding celebrant and I believe in marriage. Your wedding day is just the beginning of the great love, honour, devotion and cherishing of each other that you will share from there on out. And I actually do think that IS pretty blooming cool.

Without a doubt it takes effort, to be kind, to be united, to share your time and energy, to champion each other, to listen, to appreciate and to give. Life also gets crappy and throws a load of new stuff into the mix. But, move through it. Together. And it can bring you closer.

Jon and I may have only been married a handful of years but hopefully with many more to go... and i'm sure it won't be the only year i'm being a pile of mushy peas. So I'm sorry (not sorry) if this makes you cringe, but I do, after all, celebrate love for a living. Why not celebrate my own.

This was the sweetest family! It was really important to include J' and J's gorgeous daughters in this very special ceremony.

So here's what we came up with...

✨They got to choose who went first with the vows, Daddy was the immediate, decisive response...
✨ They were the surprise ring bearers, a very exciting moment.
✨ They then squeezed and squeezed the rings to warm them with all their love and wishes.
✨ Mummy and Daddy made a vow to love and respect them both for the rest of their lives.
✨They were the witnesses to the ceremony and the certificate was covered in x's and o's and notes of love.

It was very sweet and a joy to be a part of.

This wonderful ceremony for Rach and Jamie was a joy from start to finish. From walking down the aisle to 'Beauty and the Beast' HIS choice btw, so no offense taken.
To a mid ceremony Couple's Quiz for all the guests to have fun with. To tears of love and laughter throughout from their brilliant love story.

These two are so sweet and very special and I loved this ceremony so much. You really can add in as much of your personality as you want with me! And as big gamers, these two just knew they wanted to include an extra sprinkle of fun somehow, and we came up with this. Fab!

Indie and Alex said 'I do' at @pennardhouse a couple of weeks ago and it was brill! I'm so honored to have got to know these two fun, adventurous souls, thanks to our mutual besties.

Their special day included a surprise ring bearer, Indie's Brother 🥰 (check video 4 for the pre-ceremony ring hiding!) and a heartfelt handfasting ceremony where I bound their hands together, representing their love, their individual and combined lives, and their future marriage together. See video 10 for the windy ribbons of love.

The details were stunning throughout, and they had @4tissimo_string_quartet playing Indie down the aisle and post ceremony. I highly recommend, they brought even more elegance and romance to the day. (Unfortunately the audio wasn't good on my video but do check them out.)

🌹 Gorgeous Glam 🌹

Trip to Covent Garden for the honour of being Rach and Neil's wedding celebrant. Based at the utterly stunning @thenomadhotel their ceremony was in this dramatic painted ballroom in front of their closest friends and family. It was a ceremony was filled with romance, laughter, stories of their years together, personal vows, beautiful rings and cheers from the crowd. It was so great!

We also included a 'wine ceremony' where they locked away a posh bottle of bubbly along with a handwritten letter to each other... ready to be popped open and shared together on their first anniversary. They'll then replace the bottle, and write new letters to add to the box, building a collection of memories from over the years.

Sherlock was his Mum and Dad's ring bearer at their gorgeous wedding ceremony in the Summer at the gorgeous @eventsatmanorfarm it was sooo cute! and although he needed a little bit of encouragement down the aisle, his performance did them proud.

As your celebrant, I will definitely be on side for any sort of animal participation.

I'm not going to lie, when people say they'd like for their fur-baby to be involved in their ceremony in some way I get SO excited.

Sometimes, they are a little too much energy (see pic 3) or a bit cutesy shy, so can't actually be there on the day but there are so many ways to include them... some i've done are: signing their paw print on your ceremony certificate, ring bearer with your rings around their neck, fluffy flower-girl leading the way before a bride or a nerve calming cuddle giver for those nervously waiting at the end of the aisle.
